Smocked-off the shoulder top: Hollister / Medium wash jean shorts: American Eagle / shoes: Ralph Lauren Charla Espadrilles / Bracelet+Necklace: Hollister

Photographer’s notes: why it works…
I was thrilled when I saw Julia’s top and then she brought out those shoes! This style of top and the colors are really versatile to go with many settings and royal and navy blue photograph so beautifully. I love the subtle texture that playfully complements the pattern. She made such a great choice with a necklace that doesn’t compete with the neckline of the top; it falls right above and below while offering lots of detail in the layers. I absolutely LOVED her bracelet and ring pairing, they all worked together really well and with the whole ensemble. Finally, you just can’t go wrong with wedges!

Q+A with Julia

What made you choose this outfit for your shoot?
I wanted something casual, but pretty and unique. And I really loved the colors.

What did you love about this outfit? How did you feel wearing it?
I absolutely loved my shirt and shoes the most, the off the shoulder blouse made me feel beautiful. The shoes were comfortable and adorable. The outfit itself made me feel comfortable and good about myself.

Do you have any tips to share for shopping/prepping for a senior shoot:
My tips would be to choose an outfit that is casual and comfortable but is unique and beautiful in its own way. Take your time while choosing your outfits because senior pictures will be seen forever. You want to love your outfit every time you look back at the pictures. Theresa was also amazing putting my outfits together and recommending certain outfits for certain locations.

Lauren :: Osceola Senior Class of 2016

Meet Lauren who will be graduating from Osceola Fundamental High School in 2016…

IN HER OWN WORDS:

“All senior photos seemed the same until we found Theresa Marie’s web site. The images captured the spirit and personalities of the people and just seemed so “alive”. My overall experience with Theresa Marie was fabulous. From start to finish, the experience was first class. When we first saw the images, my mom cried and I thought they were so amazing.

I would change nothing about my experience – it was wonderful! Theresa Marie is super and parents really should consider giving their kids this kind of experience. I felt like a princess the whole time, and really enjoyed my time in front of the camera. Theresa Marie made me feel comfortable being myself, which made my photos come out looking like the true me and how I feel inside (rather than some fake smile).”

Shaina :: Wisconsin Senior Class of 2016

Meet Shaina who traveled all the way from Wisconsin just for her senior photos…

IN HER OWN WORDS:
“I’m from Wisconsin, so my family’s biggest hesitation was the distance and how Theresa and I would communicate about my senior photos. We had very minimal face to face meetings. Although we had limited time together, Theresa made it very easy for us to communicate and talk via email and the phone. The price of her photography also made my parent’s hesitant, but Theresa definitely made it worth it!

I chose Theresa Marie because I fell in love with her photos that I’ve seen on her blog! I could not stop stalking her website, it was literally perfect. Her photos looked so natural and not too edited. Theresa easily captured not only the person, but their personality. I loved working with Theresa Marie! She made me feel so comfortable when she was taking the photos. I didn’t feel self conscious or anything. What I love the most about her is that she alters the photography session and the reveal based off my interests. Theresa Marie let me make my decisions and she helped guide me too.

My favorite part was the reveal, I was literally speechless. It was fun, looking through the photos and designing my photo heirloom. I did not believe it was me at all. I felt good about myself, and that’s what I love about Theresa Marie. She made me feel beautiful, which is what made my experience with her special. I wouldn’t have change anything! The preparation, the shoot, and the reveal was perfect. She did everything she could to make my family and I happy with my senior photos. She exceeded beyond my family and I’s expectations.

I would recommend everyone to get their senior photos taken by Theresa Marie because she does everything she can to make you feel comfortable and happy with not only your photos, but the experience itself. It’s not all about the photos, it’s about the preparation. Theresa Marie was not only my photographer, but she was also a great friend. She didn’t even like my photographer, that’s how comfortable I was with her! I am so blessed to have worked with someone so talented. Theresa Marie truly captures the personality and emotion in the photos, and I could not be anymore content with how everything turned out. I had such a great experience and I wish I could relive my experience with her!”

Megan :: Plant City Senior Class of 2015

Meet Megan who graduated from Plant City High School last spring…

IN HER OWN WORDS:

“I wanted a photographer that would capture me in a way that was timeless, not cheesy like a lot of senior pictures are. I found Theresa through google and did some researching and fell in love with her style. After talking with her on the phone I knew I could trust her to give me a perfect senior shoot.

It was an awesome experience. I knew I didn’t need to stress because I was in good hands! My favorite part was getting my makeup done and planning the shoot because we could just laugh and get excited for what was to come! At my reveal I was truly blown away…I felt beautiful!! I love my pictures so much.

I am so grateful that I found Theresa. She gave me such a unique senior experience and it was truly the cherry on top of my final months as a senior! Not only does she do beautiful work, but she makes you feel so special. Everything Theresa does is done with care and detail in mind. If I were to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing!!

Theresa doesn’t just take pictures, edit them, and give you your order. She makes it a whole experience. From her Snapchat stories to her adorable ‘Pink Starburst’ notes, she makes you feel so special. She is the most detail-oriented person I’ve met and I feel like I can honestly call her a friend. Meet Tiffany who graduated from East Lake High School…

IN HER OWN WORDS:
“I was hesitant about the entire senior photoshoot itself. I’ve never really been good in front of a camera because I don’t know what to do with myself. My family and I also knew how pricey senior photos could be, which made us even more hesitant. We chose Theresa Marie because we fell in love with her work. Her ability to capture all kinds of personalities showed through the beautiful photos featured on her website.

My overall experience with Theresa Marie was just as amazing as her! She made me feel so comfortable and genuinely good about myself. Theresa does a great job at bringing out the best in people and it shows in the photos! My favorite part was the actual shoot because I felt like a model for the day. It was definitely an experience to remember.

When I first saw my images I fell in love with them. They were so perfect, and Theresa did a fabulous job at capturing my true colors!

I wouldn’t have change a single thing about my experience. Everything was perfect! From the preparation for the shoot to the very end, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. I would recommend Theresa Marie to any senior! She is amazing at what she does and is such a sweet person! Meet Chelsea who just graduated from Newsome High School…

Modern-Senior-Photography-Tampa-001.jpg

IN HER OWN WORDS:
“Most of the time I feel awkward having people take pictures of me and posing for someone so I was kind of nervous. We chose Theresa Marie because the photos she does are beautiful and we fell in love!

Theresa Marie made me feel very comfortable! It was a lot of fun, my favorite part was going in the water and posing on the beach because I love the beach and I was excited to take pictures somewhere that I felt embodied my persona.”

When I first saw my images, I was astonished! I knew Theresa took great photos but it’s so different seeing them when they’re pictures of you. I was amazed at how beautiful they looked. Would I recommend Theresa Marie to other seniors? OH MY GOD YES! She is so funny and makes you feel so comfortable when she’s photographing you. She makes the whole thing feel natural and fun.”

CHELSEA’S MOM, LAURA SAID:
“I didn’t want her pictures to look like everyone else’s. I wanted her to have a unique experience and with someone who took it seriously.

It was amazing from start to finish. So professional but 100% fun and we could have stayed for hours more. My favorite part was seeing the look of happiness on Chelsea’s face. She’s been through so much in the last few years and having her photos finished at the beach was something she always wanted to do for her senior pictures. She loved it and I loved watching her love it.

When I first saw Chelsea’s images I gasped and I think I may have squealed..haha. They were even better than I had hoped for.

I would recommend Theresa Marie to other seniors in a heartbeat. You get what you pay for. If you are looking to do something amazing and have something to treasure for the rest of your life, call Theresa Marie!

Working with Theresa Marie was the best choice we could have made. She was so much fun and gave us the most professional photos. Choosing which amazing products to get based on the images she took was the best part. She is worth every penny and I couldn’t recommend her any higher!”
